Group Programs

Our programs are free of charge and most are open to anyone in the community. For more information about the programs below, including dates and times of upcoming sessions, check our Events Calendar.

Social Programs

A variety of social programs are held on an ongoing basis to help adults get out of the house, meet others, reduce loneliness, and have fun. Also offered are groups for peer support and sharing of resources and information. Most of our social programs are facilitated by BQWCHC volunteers.

These groups are being offered during the coronavirus pandemic:

  • Fun on the Phone for Adults 50+
  • Living Well with Chronic Pain and Chronic Conditions Support Group (September - June)
  • Virtual Crafts for Adults 18+ (September - June)
  • Walking Clubs

These groups are temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic:

  • Breakfast of Champions (Belleville)
  • Club 50+ Drop-In for Ages 50+ (Belleville)
  • Colouring for Adults Drop-In
  • Crochet Club (Trenton)
  • Crafts Groups for Adults Drop-In
  • Learning to Live Again - Life Beyond Grief (Trenton)
  • Social Programs at Quinte West Public Library
  • Quinte West Dinner Club 
  • WOW Group Drop-In - Working On Wellness (Trenton)

Mental Health Programs

A variety of group sessions are offered periodically through the year to help people learn information and skills to cope with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, powerful emotions, and more.

These groups are being offered during the coronavirus pandemic:

  • Bouncing Back from Anxiety and Depression
  • 'Bouncing Beyond' Peer Support Mental Health Group - for those who have completed a mental health group program with a Social Worker
  • Managing Powerful Emotions 
  • Virtual Meditation and Mindfulness

These groups are temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic:

  • Transforming Trauma
  • People Skills - for those who have completed Managing Powerful Emotions
  • Mindfulness - for those who have completed Managing Powerful Emotions
