Primary Health Care

Primary Health Care

Primary health care services at the Centre are all about care and working as a team for improved health and wellness.

The focus of a Community Health Centre is on health promotion, illness prevention, and community development. Our team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, health promoter, social workers, dietitian, pharmacist, community resource worker and others work together with you to address your immediate health needs and your overall wellbeing. Our goal is to help you take control of your health as much as possible. Primary care includes the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of various health conditions, including referrals to specialists and diagnostic services for registered clients.

Anyone can seek assistance at the Centre. We welcome community members without a family doctor, and  populations who have a harder time getting access to health services in general (i.e. living in poverty, living with mental health and/or substance use, immigrant/refugee, etc.).
